Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday (3/4) that new tariffs imposed by the United States (US) on almost all countries have plunged the global trade system into a very challenging situation.
"The
impact will be global. Old trade chains will be broken, but new ones
will emerge. We will impose reciprocal tariffs on US goods," Medvedev
said on Telegram.
Medvedev also said that Russia has maintained strong
development despite sanctions imposed by the US and Europe over the
Ukraine crisis.
"The Russian economy will grow by 3 percent in the first quarter of 2025," Medvedev said.
